The Wimmer-Czerny wineestate is resident in Fels am Wagram, in Lower Austria, eastern of 18 km of Krems at the Danube. Of 12 hectar wine gardens, excluding south slopes between 220 and 370 m sea-height, are produced annually about 60,000 bottles, to 80 % weisswein. The management is very sensible to nature, with green plants between, without insecticides and herbicides, fertilization over green mass. The yields are therefore rather low. Since over 10 years we operate without adding sugar into the juice, in addition, without irrigation systems in the wine garden, and one must the whole year kept from the pruning to the harvest in the eye. But the wines are throughout close and long-lived. We attach great importance to perfect a high slim leaves wall. Main places is the GruenerVeltliner with 50%, besides Riesling, Weissburgunder, Chardonnay and Zweigelt. Remaining 15% distribute themselves on the Nebensorten like Red Veltliner, Traminer or Sauvignon blanc, the play meadow of the winegrower. Since approximately 1988 Wimmer-Czerny under the best operations of Austria seems regularly with point evaluations up, in former times as " young winegrowers ", today already almost as " age hare " in of Austria wine economics.
