Vinícola Salton, having been located until June 24th in the very heart of the City of Bento Gonçalves in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil's Southernmost federal state, had itself installed in the same State's Tuiuty District, thereby being consolidated as one of Latin America's most important Winegrowing undertakings and an excellent promoting option for Tourism.
Rescue of the family's origin was one of the Company's reasons. The new headquarters was built at the place where the first canteen had been located, installed after the arrival of the Salton Brethren in 1878, nowadays Bento Gonçalves. The Company submitted the region's touristic potential to minute researches, integrated the results with the Winegrower's revelations, whenever introducing them to tourists or providing whatever they would like to see, which is but the true elaboration of the products. The differential is that the whole process is accompanied by means of the aerial catwalk system, something that allows the visualization and provides the possibility of avoiding the interruption of the production process.
The area that covers Salton’s winegrowing complex amounts to 30 thousand square meters, a structure difficult to be found in few places of the world. Until now, headquarters counted with an investment of R$ 32 million. Salton has been daily open to visitors, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holy days. After a stroll through the installations, visitors test the Salton Wines and, whoever wishes, may purchase the products at retail differentiated prices.
